Before you get carried away choosing the perfect bathroom tiles we need to ensure the structure of your home refurbishment is sound. Planning, building regulations, electrics, plumbing – the list is endless. We have access to all these services – and with our extended team of associate consultants we can also provide quantity surveyors, structural engineers and building inspectors for your project.
The process from concept to completion
Every project starts with us visiting your home for an initial free no obligation consultation. We want to understand your aspirations for your home, and will also discuss your lifestyle, how long you plan to live in the house and your budget. After our initial meeting we will prepare a detailed Fee Proposal for your project.
After accepting the proposal our first task is a very thorough architectural survey of your home. This is an essential part of the process to ensure we have accurate measurements to work from. These plans will be used to prepare the proposals for your home, and also used if planning permission is required. If you live in a listed building or a in conservation area even minor changes might need require permission and our team can advise on this.
The interior design process will start while planning continues. We provide concepts for each room of your home and discuss them and move the design process forward. Samples of all finishes and paint colours are provided. If showroom visits are required we can arrange these. Every single aspect of your new home will be discussed and agreed during this process.
After the planning and design stages are complete the full design specification and Scope of Work can be prepared. Although your budget has been considered throughout the design stage it is now that the detailed estimate is prepared.
Then it’s time to sit back and let us build your dream home. We will have site meetings every two weeks for you to review progress, and you have ongoing contact with our design and build teams. Finally, after what may, at the time, seem like forever, you can move back into your home and live in the beautiful space our team have worked with you to create – and then start enjoying it!
